Subscription and Billing
Prices
Prices are US dollars. They come from src/shared/pricing.ts.
- No subscription: $0. This is not a priced plan. It includes 2,000 translated words a month.
- Individual: $9.99 a month, or $101.88 a year charged once.
- Team: $29.99 per user a month, or $305.88 per user a year charged once.
- Business: $59.99 per user a month, or $611.88 per user a year charged once.
The annual price is about 15% less than twelve monthly payments: $18, $54 per user, and $108 per user. Shown monthly equivalents for the annual plans are $8.49, $25.49 per user, and $50.99 per user. The charge is the annual total, not twelve separate monthly charges.
Other currencies are not offered. Taxes are not calculated in the app. Stripe Tax is not enabled, and Stripe collects no tax until a tax registration exists.
Word allowance and seats
Individual includes 10,000 translated words a month. Team includes 100,000 on the subscribing account. Business includes 500,000 on the subscribing account. Rewrite counts on Individual, Team, and Business. Smart replies count on Team and Business. An account with no subscription does not get rewrite or smart replies.
No subscription allows 1,000 characters per translation. A paid plan allows 4,000. The server stops an account at 30 requests a minute. The same text within 10 minutes is not counted twice.
Team and Business checkout can send a seat quantity from 1 to 100. The price preview multiplies the per-user price by seats. Stripe decides the charge. Seats do not multiply the word allowance and do not invite teammates. There is no team admin screen.
The 7-day trial
A 7-day trial exists only when Stripe is configured. Checkout adds trial_period_days on the Checkout Session. The trial is not left on the Stripe Price. Nothing is charged during the trial. It renews at the disclosed price for that plan and seat count unless you cancel before renewal.
If the Stripe secret or a price id is missing, the server says payment is not set up. No trial starts and you are not charged. There is no second, universal trial, and the App Store and Play are not a trial path because they are not connected.
When Premium is on
Premium follows a signed webhook. active and trialing count. canceled counts only until the period end. past_due, unpaid, incomplete, and paused do not. Landing on the success URL does not unlock Premium. Pressing Subscribe does not unlock Premium.
Stripe checkout
The server creates the Checkout Session and returns a URL. The website and the app do not collect the card. Stripe webhooks are not configured on the Stripe account, so a success page does not grant Premium. The Stripe Customer Portal is not configured, so this website does not offer a portal button. Checkout started on the public website returns to that website. It does not send the buyer to a developer machine. Checkout started in the local app still returns to that app. Those addresses are not a receipt that Premium started.
App Store and Google Play
Digital subscriptions inside the iOS and Android apps must use Apple In-App Purchase and Google Play Billing. Those stores are not connected. Both billing routes return 501 and do not start a purchase. Refunds for those stores are those stores’ own processes, and they do not apply yet because no purchase can start there. The website may use Stripe.
Cancel and refunds
You can cancel any time. Access stays until the period that already started ends. Read Refund and cancellation. This page does not promise a refund.
